Diagrams people actually want to read
LetDraw is a hand-drawn whiteboard for the diagrams that explain how software works. We build it for the people who have to read those diagrams at 2am.
The story
Every team ends up drawing the same things: how the services talk, what the schema looks like, where the data flows. Then those drawings go stale, or they look so sterile nobody reads them.
We wanted diagrams that feel like something a smart colleague sketched on a whiteboard, warm, quick, easy to follow, but backed by the real thing: your code, your infrastructure, your schema. So we built a canvas that turns Compose, Kubernetes, Terraform, SQL and more into clean diagrams, and lets a whole team draw on them together in real time.
A good diagram is the fastest documentation there is. It should be a pleasure to make and a pleasure to read.
From the first line of code, two things came before features: performance and security. LetDraw is meant to hold up under tens of thousands of people and large live rooms, and to keep your work private with end-to-end encryption and strict access controls. We write our own generators and keep dependencies minimal, so we can stand behind every part of it.
Principles, and the proof
Values are easy to write on a page. Here is what each one looks like in the actual product.
Privacy by default
Your boards are yours. We keep them private and give you real control over your data.
Our own code
We write the hard parts ourselves and keep dependencies lean, so nothing is a black box.
Fast, at scale
Performance is a feature. It should stay smooth with big boards and busy live rooms.
Independent
We answer to the people who use LetDraw, not to advertisers deciding the roadmap.
Honest by default
Clear pricing, no dark patterns, and we say plainly what we do and do not do yet.
Built with a community
The best ideas come from people using it. We share shape libraries and build in the open.
One canvas, from sketch to system
Draw freely, or generate a diagram from real code and clean it up by hand. Then share it, present it, or export it wherever it needs to live.
- A hand-drawn feel that stays readable
- Generate from Compose, Kubernetes, Terraform, SQL and more
- Real-time collaboration with roles and comments
- Export to Mermaid, D2, PDF, and an API for automation
